Abstract

The present research work begins with a historical review of the Ecuadorian textile sector, in order to obtain a full understanding of its development and evolution from its beginnings in the manufacture, commercialization and distribution of textile industries located in the northern sector of Quito. A legal framework created for the benefit of this sector, making a compilation and analysis of the main policies and entities that support the development of the textile industry in Ecuador. The current situation of 159 textile industries in the province of Pichincha (north of Quito) is presented through a diagnosis, with the intention of knowing its structure, organization and administration, type of industry, degree of innovation, use of technology, sources of financing , Human talent and the marketing channels they use. Finally, through selection indicators, the company SJ JERSEY ECUATORIANO S.A. As a case study, from which it is possible to evidence the commercial positioning as one of the best Ecuadorian textile companies contributing as an example to follow by its organizational structure, business philosophy and level of productivity
