Programa interpretación ambiental del Refugio de Vida Silvestre Pacoche en el cantón Manta, provincia de Manabí

Abstract

The present investigation had as objective to elaborate a Program of environmental interpretation of the Wildlife Refuge Pacoche in the canton Manta, province of Manabí. A review of information on the physical, biotic and sociocultural environment of the Pacoche Wildlife Refuge was able to form a profile referring to the most relevant aspects of this ecosystem, the determination of the specific public was developed through the elaboration of a survey applied to The community was also corroborated by the interview with the park ranger of the protected area, the inventory of natural and cultural resources was developed through the field visit, the intrinsic and recreational valuation of resources, was done through evaluation indicators Of the importance of each species of flora and fauna according to their ranking hierarchy using the methodology of Aldana (2012). The strategies actions in the elaboration of the program of environmental interpretation, was developed through the analysis of results obtained in the two previous phases, arriving at the conclusion that interpretive means must be implemented in the protected area
