Diseño de Programa de Interpretación Ambiental para el Refugio de Vida Silvestre Pasochoa

Abstract

From environmental education is achieved the population approaches to natural resources consciously. Of this way and through the interpretation of them same making use of them strategies appropriate, them people can understand them and appreciate them, valuing them effectively and contributing to its preservation, for thus decrease them practices that generate an impact environmental negative about them areas protected. The objective of the present research is to design a program of environmental interpretation for the Pasochoa Wild Life Refuge, for the purpose of awakening the sensitivity of visitors, stressing the importance of the protection of the environment. The theoretical approach of the present thesis was based on the definitions of environmental interpretation. For the development of the environmental interpretation program, leaning on a field investigation, described the characteristics of the study area, such as its geographical location, climate, ecology, topography and soils, all this in order to design appropriate strategies of interpretation based on the conditions of the area and the characteristics of visitors, given that refuge presents biotic and abiotic potentials for environmental interpretation as well as the infrastructure appropriate to do so, however, this function is not carried out effectively. Because of this, was a program of environmental interpretation for the area, visitors who are mostly national adults and children, it consisted of an explanatory video of the refuge and features a graphic proposal which invites the public to visit the place to so promote people awareness of protection of natural resources
