| Beschreibung: | This research is focused on the use of supplementary materials for teaching children in EFL classes. Its objective is to determine and analyze the type of supporting materials used for teaching children in EFL classes. The data was collected from two public schools located in Esmeraldas Province.The population for this research included the students of 4th, 5th, and 6th grades of Basic Education, as well as the English teachers of these grades. The instruments used for the data collection were the observation, the questionnaire, and the survey. The collected information was analyzed by means of the Qualitative method in order to identify the supporting material taking into account if they were used considering aspects of pertinent, appropriateness, quality according to the learning styles process requirements. And the frequency of use of the supporting materials was determined through the Quantitative method. In conclusion, since the board was the supplementary material used the most, the lack of variety and appropriateness of supplementary materials make students bored and unmotivated. Consequently, the English acquisition was very hard for the students observed. |
