Abstract:AbstractThe realization of social projects always seeks a solution to the problems of rural housing, the project tries to identify the processes with which self-built houses are being developed, considering rural architecture, a source of knowledge, and taking into account the considerations of the materiality, traditional construction techniques, thus allowing us to understand if the strategies used are sustainable in terms of existing resources and available manpower.For this, an analysis of selected typologies of self-built houses is carried out that are identified as support to define the prototype of the house to be designed, taking into account the design criteria with which they were developed and thus define important strategies for the development of the proposal.Taking part in the rural housing prototype will be designed based on the construction techniques and materials that were developed in the houses analyzed, thus adapting to the topographic conditions and built with materials that do not affect the context.
