Abstract

Abstract: This research revolves around the 2030 agenda of the United Nations, making a comparative analysis between the sentence No.32-17-IN/21, issued by the Constitutional Court of Ecuador, by which it accepts the public action of unconstitutionality raised and the Sustainable Development Goal (hereinafter ODS) number 6, which aims at clean water and sanitation. In this research work, an in-depth study was conducted on the right to water focused on the ODSdescribed above, which seeks that all people have access to the vital liquid for their daily living and full development. Thanks to the execution of this project we have entered the world of constitutional law, as it is linked to the protection of the human right to water, which is recognized in our constitution and therefore should prevail without any doubt, as it is considered a strategic national heritage and a fundamental element for the existence of human beings.
