Abstract

Abstract: The outbreak of COVID-19 in China, and the subsequent declaration of this as a pandemic by the World Health Organization due to its rapid evolution, has shown negative impacts on various sectors of society, especially health personnel who have faced to this disease from the front line. Health personnel have presented significant levels of stress, anxiety and loneliness due to the situations to which they are exposed in their work environment, for which the objective of this research was to determine the mental health status of health workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, in the center of Saraguro, during the year 2021. A descriptive quantitative study was carried out by applying a standardized MBI-HSS questionnaire, where 40 health workers were evaluated to find out the levels of stress, anxiety and loneliness that they presented during the treatment. pandemic. The results obtained showed that only health personnel who work directly with positive cases of COVID-19 presented episodes of anxiety, stress, and depression, while the rest of the population did not identify considerable levels.
