Abstract

Abstract: The work carried out had the purpose of analyzing the transformations that are manifested in the characters of the novel I am the fire by Óscar Vela in relation to the central theme of the life and death. The analysis of the literary work is carried out through three categories: characteristics and development of the characters, transformations of the characters and boarding theme of life and death from the characters. For this, they are made descriptive and qualitative arguments of the novel with a phenomenological basis and the use of sociocriticism to understand the transformations of characters as part of from different social contexts and particular situations. In the chapters of the work explain the main arguments and facts that are described throughout the novel, to that with this they deepen the social issues and the characters. In the conclusions respond to the guiding questions of the essay from a critical perspective to leave in clear the central themes of life and death from the analytical perspective of the author.
