Uso de aplicaciones digitales: Word Wall y Tándem, para mejorar y desarrollar las habilidades auditivas y comunicativas en el idioma de inglés

Abstract

Abstract: This research focuses on analyzing the benefits of Word Wall and Tandem applications in the development of listening and communicative comprehension of the English language. This inquiry was descriptive with a quantitative approach. To obtain the data collection, the survey technique was used, which was applied through Google Forms, under the Likert scale, with 16 items addressed to English teachers and 11 items applied to 26 students. The results showed that the Word Wall and Tandem applications, like a technological and educational resource, improve the improvement of listening and communication skills in students of Fifth Basic Year. For this reason, they point out that the Word Wall and Tandem platforms provide significant benefits in the execution of the aforementioned skills, increasing vocabularies and fluency, through reproductive videos or live interactions with native speakers, students can reproduce the recorded conversation to reinforce phrases, or more difficult vocabularies. In addition, the potential of these educational tools has reached a highly recognized level in education, providing greater easy interaction between teachers and students.
