Abstract: In the construction of a road infrastructure there is always a deficit in the updating of the database, so it is necessary to opt for techniques and mechanisms for the identification and collection of new data obtained in the field. Through this process, detailed information about hydraulic construction works such as sewers and bridges are available, since over time they suffer an alteration in relation to what they were designed; the same happens with the zones of geological faults, since they alter the vehicular flow and generate a discomfort to the passersby. This information is collected with technological tools that are free to use, in such a way that an updated database and digital maps are created with the help of a Geographic Information System with the objective of planning and improving the conditions of the road infrastructure under study. With all this information collected, you will have a result with technical and reliable information that will serve to enrich the database of the Road Safety Observatory of the UTPL.
