Abstract

Abstract:The health emergency caused by Covid-19 led to the partial and total closure of the different economic sectors with significant losses, and without a doubt, a crisis healthcare with great challenges that companies have faced. The present study seeks to delve into trends by observing the financial performance of companies during the year 2020, with the objective of analyzing the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the financial performance of the tourism, transport and commerce sectors of the El Oro province. The methodology has a quasi-experimental design, using as a factor for the impact evaluation, the counterfactual and a descriptive type of research with a focus quantitative. The study population contemplates a number of 449 companies, of which The variables ROS, ROE, ROA, profit margin, operating turnover, margin gross, net margin, indebtedness, analysis of sales and dividends. The work concludes that The impact caused by the pandemic on companies in the province in general was negative.
