| Descripción : | Resumen:Public policies in the mining sector are aimed at positioning Ecuador as a relevant industry focused on development and economic growth by being a country rich in minerals and metals, attracting Foreign Direct Investment, as well such as improving the level of exports of the main minerals; Gold, Silver and Copper, which are increasingly the most exported minerals, improving the balance In addition, the State receives economic benefits from charges tax. In the social part, large-scale mining companies in Ecuador present a series of irregularities and criminalization of human rights, for change the ways of life and customs of the inhabitants, this is evidenced by the forced evictions of indigenous communities and settlers, knowing that these territories belong to them by right, there are also effects on the environment due to the deforestation caused and pollution of the rivers that flow into the Rio Zamora, damaging the aquatic life and the water resources that these territories possess. |
