La interculturalidad a través de la narrativa de Edna Iturralde

Abstract

Abstract:In this literary essay, the novels will be addressed: The wind will accompany you and The Islands where The Moon is Born, by Edna Iturralde, as well as the stories that appear in Verde's book was my jungle, which consists of thirteen stories in which he recounts the customs, traditions and beliefs, taking into account, five of them, to talk about the different indigenous nationalities that each one represents, such as: Verde fue mi selva (Cofan), The people (Huaorani), The river (Quichuas of the East), The war (Achuar) and Hunting (Shuar), in order to expose their cultures to the knowledge of the Ecuadorian population, establishing conditions of equality and respect, so that in this way it can be built over the years, in an intercultural society. On the other hand, it also addresses the conceptualization of interculturality, epistemological category considered polysemic, because it is exposed to different interpretations, used depending on the person. Finally, the definitions presented by the authors are related to Edna's narrative. Iturralde, ending with the conclusions left by this literary essay.
