Salud mental en trabajadores sanitarios durante la pandemia de COVID 19 en la ciudad de Quito

Abstract

Abstract: Health personnel during the COVID 19 pandemic waged a direct battle against the virus, which is why their mental health was compromised, for this reason the objective of this work is to describe the state of mental health of health workers after the pandemic. of COVID 19, for this a quantitative approach with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, exploratory and descriptive design was used. The sample consisted of 40 health professionals who work in the Valle de los Chillos sector of the city of Quito during the year 2022 to whom a sociodemographic questionnaire was applied, the chronic work stress inventory (MBI-HSS), the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS 21), the Acceptance and Action Questionnaire (AAQ - II), the Loneliness Scale (UCLA-3) and the Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). It is concluded that the majority of health personnel have tools to face stressful situations and the majority have adequate mental health, however, personnel with high scores should not be dismissed as they are warning signs.
