Abstract

Abstract: The present work called: Use of ICT tools to improve communication in students with intellectual disabilities, aims to implement the use of the ICT tool, Jocomunico, to improve communication in students with intellectual disabilities. This study tries to break the barriers of accessibility to information and optimize teacher-student communication. The present investigation was carried out in the School of Specialized Education "Cuidad de Loja N°1", located in the City of Loja in the "La Tebaida" neighborhood, to the Southwest of the city, it is a descriptive, qualitative investigation. , the interview technique was used with a semi-structured questionnaire, the population and sample is made up of 8 teachers between men and women chosen by non probabilistic sampling for convenience, the technique used was the interview to evaluate the current situation of teachers compared to the use of technology in the classroom. Studies show that constant training helps to improve the digital skills of teachers, which allows them to make a more timely intervention in the teaching-learning processes.
