Abstract: The following research work called Academic Preferences of Law students and their link with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) through the study of judgments, specifically in this project was selected from the curriculum of the Law Career, the subject of "Human Rights" with the analysis of the judgment of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in the case of Emilio Palacio et al vs Ecuador, by conducting this research allows students to develop research skills, critical and sustainable analysis, also by choosing the subject of their preference makes them develop the acquired skills that future professionals consider to have been their potential during their academic training stage, giving way for students to get involved in the research of Agenda 2030 and the linkage of an SDG with the subject of preference and the analysis of the sentence evidencing that the present research aims to know the factors that converge in the Graduate of the Law Career of the UTPL to develop preferences for specific areas of legal science and their future specialization in these.
