Abstract

Abstract:The objective of this degree work is to provide Internet connectivity to the neighborhood Patagua, the same one that is located in the Pichincha province, Rumiñahui canton Cotogchoa parish, through a low-cost community network design. In the first chapter: Background, describes the need for the Internet in the community that currently does not have access to the network due to lack of infrastructure. In the chapter two: Theoretical Framework, concepts and technologies used in the design of a radio are explained link to provide Internet, the types of antennas and the transmission and reception equipment. In the third chapter: Network Design, the network design proposal is presented. HE They detail the equipment, the physical and logical topology of the network, the coverage tests are shown. In the Economic Analysis, the cost of the project, equipment, infrastructure and the operating costs, a projection of the return on investment is presented in a five-year term, considering the income that will be obtained from the sale of the Internet service to the community.
