| Beschreibung: | The theme of this research is: A descriptive analysis of anglicims in Ecuadorian magazines . This research took place in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, Ecuador; it focuses on Ecuadorian magazines such as: Cultural, Scholarly and General Interest. The selected magazines that have been chosen are: Los museos del Ecuador , Ecuador Infinito , Nuestro Mundo , Criterios , Vistazo and Hogar . The information was tabulated and analyzed, in order to do this work the bibliographic method was used for gathering scientific material to work on the theoretical background, also the interpretation of the data collected through the field research was done by the qualitative and quantitative methods, that allowed the gathering and facilitated the process of the linguistic data, in order to identify and analyze the anglicims presently used in Ecuadorian Magazines; also the interpretation of the data collected through the field research was done by the qualitative and quantitative methods. Besides, this research demonstwírates that many times Anglicisms are a product of poor translation of printed or spoken language in English, and sometimes the opposite occurs; they were created by the absence of an appropriate word to translate a specific word or term. |
