Estudio de caso acerca de un trastorno por consumo de estimulantes, bajo el enfoque cognitivo conductual

Abstract

Abstract: The present work presents a cognitive behavioral treatment to a 20-year-old patient, who presented stimulant use disorder, coded in the DSM 5 manual as "304.40". For this, a treatment was established which contemplated the evaluation, observation and application of different psychometric tools including the craving cocain questionnaire (CCQ), the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT), Alcohol, Smoking and Substance Involvement Screening Test (ASSIT), and other tests to evaluate associated problems such as the Barrat impulsivity test and the family satisfaction test (ESFA). Similarly, different psychological techniques were used, including cognitive restructuring, descending arrow, problem-solving training, thought stopping, stimulus control and relapse prevention. At the end of the treatment it was evident that the patient presented an improvement in the previous consumption of the substance.
