La comunicación familiar y el autoconcepto en adolescentes de bachillerato de la ciudad de Loja Ecuador

Abstract

Abstract: Family communication influences the development of self-concept, research indicate that open communication in the family supports the development of self-concept in adolescents. Given this, this study analyzed the relationship between communication family and self-concept in high school adolescents in the city of Loja. It was used the Communication Scale (PACS), the Self-Concept Scale (AF-5) and a survey sociodemographic. 50 students between 15 and 17 years old participated. The results showed that 64% of the participants were women and 36% were men. In the academic and social dimensions of self-concept, 52% were located in a medium level, while 70% had a high level in the family dimension. In the emotional dimension, 48% were found at a medium level. On the PACS scale, 40% showed a high level of openness and 62% had a medium level in the magnitude of the problem.
