Systematization of Pedagogical Experiences in the EFL Teaching Training Program

Abstract

Abstract: The present Systematization of Pedagogical experiences focuses on the deep analysis of teaching experiences gained as an observer and a main teacher during the development of different courses along the career. The training practice was carried out through video observation at basic and bachillerato levels made by pre-service teachers. On the other hand, the practices as a main teacher were done through the design and application of lesson plans in an online environment using updated teaching, with the participation of students of basic and bachillerato from public institutions in Santo Domingo city. The information was gathered using observation sheets, analysis of lesson plans, and final reports in order to analyze and reflect on planning, linguistic aspects, learning management, and methodologies used during this training practice. This systematization work concludes that students face different challenges when they use the English language, which could affect them to develop appropriate linguistic skills. Therefore, it was demonstrated that success in learning depends on the design of the interactive content according to students needs using updated teaching and current strategies to enhance their communicative competence.
