Inventario de zonas de vulnerabilidad para construcción en la zona urbana de la ciudad de Loja

Abstract

Abstract: The main objective of this investigation is the creation of an inventory of vulnerable areas in the city of Loja that is not yet included in the registry of the Secretariat of Risk Management. Through the collection of information from press sources and relevant institutions, the identification and evaluation of vulnerable areas has been carried out, considering factors such as: natural hazards, soil characteristics and existing infrastructure. The implemented methodology has involved the use of modern and technological tools to guarantee the accuracy of the results. The GPS Collector application was used to obtain geographic coordinates, which were later incorporated into the QGIS software for the creation of detailed maps that highlight the areas identified as vulnerable. Additionally, a specific evaluation sheet has been proposed for structures located in vulnerable areas. The results obtained from this inventory have implications and strategic practices for urban planning and risk management in the city of Loja.
