Intervención integrativa en un adulto mayor con enfermedad de Alzheimer: Un caso clínico

Abstract: 69-year-old patient, of Ecuadorian nationality, widowed, of mestizo ethnicity, with incomplete secondary studies, is in the care of his children. Since Approximately a year and a half, he manifests a sudden deficit in his mental functions. superiors and changes in mood. It is diagnosed by psychiatry under criteria of a F00* Dementia in Alzheimer's disease (G30. ) in the previous September upon admission to a gerontological center in the month of October 2022. Based on the psychological assessment, an intervention plan is proposed under the model integrative that includes cognitive stimulation, reminiscence therapy, counseling therapy to reality and relaxation techniques. Due to the characteristics of the case, such as the state of the disease and the predominant symptoms that made it difficult to work, were not was able to satisfactorily meet the therapeutic objectives established at the beginning of the intervention; However, an improvement in the patient's mood was achieved.
