Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this work is to address the issue of migration and local development, the causes and consequences in the economic, social and family environment, what happened is detailed in the final decade of the nineties, which was where the first wave of migration developed. Additionally, the consequence of migration, whether or not it helped local development, is analyzes the category of remittances sent to Ecuador. The influence of migration on local development, through the analysis of social indicators, whether poverty, unemployment and social context that helps to better understand the environment.
