Abstract

Abstract: The following objective of this research is to apply information analysis strategies based on audiobooks to support the reading habit in High School Freshmen students (tenth graders) of Colegio Bilingüe ANAN in the city of Quito, school year period 2022 - 2023, who is part of the current population and sample of this study. The research is descriptive and transversal with a quantitative approach and method. The sample of this research is based on 48 students, on whom data collection instruments such as surveys, interviews and questionnaires were applied in order to analyze and contrast the information. This will allow identifying the interconnection of the levels of reading habit and adaptation needed with the use of multimedia to achieve the understanding of information. The study shows the relationship between reading habits with the development of intellectual and strategic skills, highlighting the importance of multimedia in learning and supporting the reading habit, taking into account the interests and learning styles of the students.
