Abstract

Abstract: The conception in reference to the literary task, analogous to the historical, political and social, is approached from the plurality of its dimensions in accordance with the reworking of collective memory and the past, in that sense. "Los Guandos" constitute a fundamental work for the reproduction and study of the historical past of Ecuador, since that it offers a detailed and idiosyncratic representation of the worldview of the indigenous and peasant communities, criticizes social and economic injustices, and highlights the importance of cultural identity and resistance, it is worth mentioning that the work is conceived from two moments that complement each other and reveal historical consciousness of the authors, the social and cultural context of the indigenous population after the colonial era, for both the dimensions that are delved into are diverse, in terms of the narrative, Lara and Martínez leave their mark that, certainly, present the figure of the Indian from two different positions, however, consciences and ideologies converge from the approach realistic of a period of transformation and conflict in Ecuador.
