dc.description	Resumen: El estudio se concentró en usar WhatsApp para ayudar a los estudiantes de inglés como lengua extranjera (EFL) con su comprensión auditiva. Evaluar el efecto de esta aplicación en el desarrollo de las habilidades de escucha de los estudiantes fue el objetivo principal. Estudiantes de 2° de Bachillerato General Unificado (BGU) en Quito, Ecuador, participaron en el estudio, que utilizó una variedad de instrumentos para recopilar y analizar datos cualitativos y cuantitativos simultáneamente. Estos instrumentos incluyeron una hoja de observación para cada intervención, videos con un breve cuestionario y encuestas a estudiantes y profesores sobre ventajas y desventajas. Materiales auténticos, como cuestionarios, se utilizaron para medir el uso de la tecnología y las percepciones de los estudiantes. Los resultados indicaron una mejora significativa en la comprensión auditiva después de usar WhatsApp, destacando su potencial como una herramienta educativa efectiva.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Abstract: The study focused on using WhatsApp to help ESL learners Foreign Language (EFL) with their listening comprehension. Evaluate the effect of this application on the Development of students' listening skills was the main objective. Students of 2nd year of Unified General Baccalaureate (BGU) in Quito, Ecuador, participated in the study, which used a variety of instruments to collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data simultaneously. These instruments included an observation sheet for each intervention, videos with a short questionnaire and surveys to students and teachers about advantages and disadvantages. Authentic materials, such as questionnaires, were used to measure use of technology and student perceptions. The results indicated an improvement significant in listening comprehension after using WhatsApp, highlighting its potential as an effective educational tool.	es_ES
