Abstract

Abstract: This analysis addresses the implementation of public policies in Ecuador to strengthen the fulfillment of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 16, with a focus on Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. It examines progress and challenges, highlighting the creation of entities such as the Ombudsman's Office and the Attorney General's Office. However, problems such as corruption and citizen security persist, the pandemic accelerated the digitalization of procedures, although the need to improve the perception of public services is highlighted. This analysis is linked to the sentence studied, since the effectiveness of public policies directly influences the administration of justice and the achievement of SDG 16, the sentence could be strengthened through a more emphatic attention to the affected subjects of rights, deepening in restorative measures, this work contributes to the critical understanding of the intersection between public policies.
