Intervención psicoterapéutica cognitivo-conductual en una niña institucionalizada por maltrato infantil.

Abstract

Abstract: The present study describes the clinical case of a 10-year-old girl with characteristics diagnoses of problems related to: removal from home in childhood, abuse child's physical appearance and personal history of psychological abuse in childhood. The process is detailed evaluation, diagnosis and cognitive-behavioral treatment. Several were used pre- and post-intervention psychological instruments, including the Depression Questionnaire child, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, State/Trait Anxiety Questionnaire. HE implemented various psychotherapeutic techniques, such as psychoeducation, traffic light, balloon breathing, social skills training and problem solving Problems with goal setting. The results obtained support the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral intervention in the treatment of girls institutionalized for child abuse. After follow-up time, a notable improvement could be observed in self-esteem. The treatment managed to achieve the established objectives, underlining the importance of intervening early in cases of institutionalized child abuse.
