Abstract: In this case, an elderly male patient presents with difficulties in regulation of emotions and behavior, as a consequence of their transfer of residence and their hometown, therefore, he has found himself involved in several confrontations in his place of residence. residence. Through an exhaustive evaluation and using the criteria of the MANUAL DIAGNOSIS AND STATISTICS OF MENTAL DISORDERS REVIEW OF TEXT (DSM-5-TR), the patient was identified as meeting criteria for a disorder persistent adaptation with mixed alterations of emotions and behavior (F43.25). For To address this disorder, a therapeutic plan was implemented under an integrative approach, adapted to the age of the patient. These strategies were designed to promote a adequate patient involvement and obtain more effective results. As a result of this treatment, significant advances were observed in the patient, especially in his ability to adapt to their new environment and improve in social aspects, integrating in a better way in your place of residence.
