| Abstract: | Abstract: The research on Digital Competencies and their relationship with teaching innovation in the Sígsig Educational Unit of the Sígsig canton, Azuay province, in the period 2023- 2024, has as its general objective: to analyze the relationship between digital competence and teaching innovation in Basic Education in the Educational Institution under study. The research was designed under the positivist philosophy, which follows a deductive approach and a quantitative methodological route; the sampling was not probabilistic, but self-selection, so it was not possible to establish the level of confidence of the estimate, and it does not represent the entire population. The objective sought was to determine the level of competencies of nine participating teachers, in addition to their experiences regarding the application of their new knowledge in the management of technologies, to understand the phenomenon in a deeper way. The quantitative information obtained was analyzed using descriptive statistics, and the qualitative information was analyzed using thematic analysis, which is suitable for handling large volumes of complex information and translating the results into discernible themes. |
| Description: | Resumen:La investigación de Competencias digitales y su relación con la innovación docente en la Unidad Educativa Sígsig del cantón Sígsig, provincia del Azuay, en el período 2023- 2024, tiene como objetivo general: analizar la relación entre la competencia digital e innovación docente de Educación Básica en la Institución Educativa en estudio. La investigación se diseñó bajo la filosofía positivista, que sigue un enfoque deductivo y una ruta metodológica cuantitativa; el muestreo fue no probabilístico, sino de autoselección, por lo que no fue posible establecer el nivel de confianza de la estimación, además no representa a toda la población. El objetivo que se buscó fue determinar el nivel de competencias de nueve docentes participantes, además de sus experiencias respecto a la aplicación de sus nuevos conocimientos en el manejo de las tecnologías, para entender el fenómeno de una manera más profunda. La información cuantitativa obtenida se analizó mediante estadística descriptiva, y la cualitativa, realizando análisis temático, que es adecuado para manejar grandes volúmenes de información compleja y traducir los resultados en temas discernibles. |
