Abstract

Abstract: The main objective of this degree thesis is to know the factors that come together in the UTPL Law Graduate to develop preferences for specific areas of legal science and their future specialization in these. On the other hand, the ruling of the Aroca Palma Vs Ecuador Case was linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), highlighting the importance of SDG 16 on peace, justice and solid institutions and a matter of preference focusing on the field of Human Rights. In the development of the research, the systematic method was applied, because the information investigated has been organized in an orderly and sequential manner, through binding categories, previously defined to be able to use the information productively. In conclusion, the analysis of the ruling of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights allowed us to draw important lessons about the protection of human rights and the need to guarantee access to justice. Demonstrating the responsibility of the Ecuadorian State for the extrajudicial execution of Joffre Aroca Palma and the impunity that surrounds the events.
