Prevalencia de la salud mental, capital psicológico y satisfacción laboral en docentes ecuatorianos del sector norte de la ciudad de Pasaje durante el año 2023

Abstract

Abstract: The general objective of this research work is to determine the prevalence of mental health, psychological capital and job satisfaction in Ecuadorian teachers in the northern sector of the city of Pasaje during the year 2023. In this, a non-experimental methodology is applied, quantitative, transversal, descriptive, as well as a non-probabilistic accidental-accessibility sample in 41 teachers. The instruments that were applied: Ad-hoc labor sociodemographic questionnaire, DASS-21 scale, the PCQ-24 and the Job Satisfaction scale. The results obtained with regard to mental health show mild levels of stress (87.8%), anxiety (82.9%) and depression (95.1%), results that allow effective work performance, in terms of psychological capital, hope obtained the average highest 36.95, which indicates that teachers feel motivated to achieve their objectives. On the other hand, we have intrinsic satisfaction, with a mean of 41.15, which indicates that teachers have a feeling of internal gratification without the need for external gratifications. Recommend maintaining motivation and good relationships between teachers, in order to grow personally and professionally.
