Abstract: | Abstract:The theme of this research was to publicize the use of authentic materials (videos) through WhatsApp to encourage students to improve their listening skills. The investigation was carried out in a trustee school of the city of Tulcan. The chosen sample was made up of ten students from second year of high school, aged between 15 and 16 years old age. The method used in this research was the "quantitative qualitative" mixed method; the instruments included surveys of teachers and students, which allowed us to obtain important data about the research; and questions asked to the students for each activity carried out on the videos sent via WhatsApp for the evaluation of the learning provided. The results indicated that Most students showed a positive attitude about the use of WhatsApp as a fundamental educational tool to improve your listening skills. Likewise, the English teacher of this course agrees that that the use of WhatsApp is of great help in extracurricular classes for reinforce listening skills in learning English. |
