Abstract

Abstract: The graduation project aims to improve and expand the sanitary sewerage system network for the Mercadillo parish capital, ensuring efficient management of wastewater. The project covers an area of 23,42 hectares and will benefit 189 families in their daily lives. This study begins with the collection of field data, including surveys of the population to assess perceptions and needs. Physical inspections of the sewerage system were conducted, where parameters such as the diameter, height, and condition of inspection chambers were measured, as well as the diameters of the pipes. Hydraulic calculations were performed using Excel, which allowed for the projection of future needs based on population growth. The data collection and hydraulic calculations were essential for identifying critical points and proposing appropriate solutions, including the expansion of the network and the improvement of connection points. Finally, conclusions were drawn based on the results of the design and evaluation of the system, as well as recommendations for its implementation, operation, and maintenance.
