Plan estratégico de desarrollo turístico sostenible para el cantón Quilanga de la provincia de Loja 2024-2034

Abstract

Abstract: The project "Strategic plan for sustainable tourism development for the Quilanga canton", employs a methodology consisting of four phases, adapted from the guidelines of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) and the Inter-American Institute of Cooperation for the Agriculture (IICA). The first phase involves the selection and analysis of concepts from other authors to give rise to the theoretical framework; In the next phase the diagnosis was made situational to evaluate the current context of the canton, in addition, in the third phase, tourism diagnosis through field visits, application of surveys and the matrix SWOT. Finally, in the fourth phase, the strategic plan was reflected, establishing the mission, vision, objectives and the methodological process to develop strategies that gave rise to the design of four programs and seven projects with their respective budgets. Therefore, It is concluded that Quilanga shows a high potential for tourism development, supported for its natural and cultural wealth, which could generate significant economic benefits. Therefore, it is recommended to implement projects focused on rural tourism, ecotourism and experiential tourism with sustainable practices.
