Abstract: The present research work on academic preferences of the students of the Law degree, Sustainable Development Goal number 5 was linked through the I study a sentence. To carry out this research, the systematic method was used, exegetical, analysis and synthesis. The sentence studied is a sentence issued by the Court Inter-American Court of Human Rights in Criminal Matters - Human Rights, was filed by Mrs. Petita Albarracín, mother of Paola Guzmán Albarracín, who was victim of abuse, sexual harassment and rape by the vice-rector of the school where She was studying at the age of 14, as a result of this fact the minor ingested white matches. causing her death, the minor's mother reported the facts to the authorities competent, but no mechanism was effective, there were deficiencies in the management of the evidence and an arrest warrant was issued that was never executed, thus prescribing the case in the Ecuadorian justice system in 2008.
