Preferencias académicas de los estudiantes de la Carrera de Derecho y su vinculación con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) a través del estudio de sentencias

Abstract

Abstract: Preventing the destruction of nature and protecting biodiversity is a pending debt that is evident worldwide as well as in Ecuador, with frequent violations of the Rights of Nature and the negative impacts that this generates. Faced with this problem, the purpose of the study was to analyze the factors that influence the preferences and specialization of graduates of the UTPL Law School. To achieve this, Sentence No. 1149-19-JP-21 issued by the Constitutional Court of Ecuador was analyzed and the relationship contemplated in the provisions of SDG-15 that seeks the protection of terrestrial biodiversity. The results show that this type of analysis helps future professionals establish practice and strategy in solving legal problems of this type. While from the analyzed sentence it is evident that the arguments given in the case are attached to the norm, making it necessary to establish specific actions to enforce the Right of Nature.
