dc.description.abstractThis work is oriented at generating alternative of applicability essential oil extracted from the fruit of Bursera graveolens (Palo Santo). Currently the sustainable use of B. graveolens is critical to compensate possible extinction due to indiscriminate cutting of this species. Reason for which it is intend to elaborate an incense as a by-product of essential oil B. graveolens, through the development of a formulation and the approach of a pilot-scale production process, so it can be transferred to a short term as an opportunity business for people in the communities of Malvas, Chaquiro and Tutumos of the Zapotillo Canton of the Province of Loja.-
