Diseño de un Sistema de Gestión Ambiental basado en la Norma ISO 14001:2015 para la Unidad de Gestión Ambiental de la Ilustre Municipalidad del Cantón San Miguel de Urcuquí

Abstract

This study consisted of designing an Environmental Management System based on the ISO 14001: 2015 Standard, for the Environmental Management Unit (EMU) of the Illustrious Municipality of San Miguel of Urcuquí Canton. The Initial Environmental Review was carried out through field visits, interviews and review of the existent material in the EMU, to obtain the environmental diagnosis of the current situation. It was obtained that the EMU fulfills 30% of the standard requirements. With the information obtained from the baseline, the Environmental Management System (EMS) was done, which consists of a policy, environmental management manual, procedures, instructions, programs, lists and records.
