Abstract

Abstract: Microcredit has proven to be an important development tool. The present research aims at analyzing the dimensions of social capital generated by the microcredit contribution in the province of Loja, canton Pindal, in 2016. To determine how microcredit generates opportunities in the canton, the technique of the survey was used to do this, using questionnaires designed by the World Bank; according to the activities of each micro entrepreneur, through the randomized stratified method, the survey was carried out. During the development of the present work the degree of distrust that exists in the cantonal head of Pindal was verified, but still the people that acceded to the microcredit and destined it to improve their businesses, the majority of the micro entrepreneurs do not belong to groups or organizations, it should be mentioned that if there is trust but only among their closest relatives.
