Abstract

The present investigation allowed to determine the biopsychosocial and family impact in informal caregivers of people with physical and intellectual disabilities of the Health Center of the city of Loja. The research was a quantitative approach is a descriptive, non-experimental research is cross-sectional, in terms of temporality the study will be retrospective and has a prospective nature the type of sample is for convenience, to 19 informal caregivers of people with disability. We used the sociodemographic record, Caregiver Overload Scale - Zarit Test and the Family Assessment Scale in Spanish Score - 15. Among the most important results, a high percentage of caregivers are women, married, age 53.7 years, the ratio of kinship is of parents who take care of their children, low socioeconomic status, primary schooling, they have been caring for more than five years, more than half of the caregivers present intense overload, as a result of the three dimensions of the caregiver's family dynamics they present a very Well, regarding your family environment.
