Percepción ciudadana sobre la realidad socioambiental nacional análisis del cantón Riobamba, provincia de Chimborazo

Abstract

Riobamba city is the capital of the Chimborazo province. It is located in the valley of the Chambo River, in the Cordillera de los Andes. There is nothing in Riobamba about the level of knowledge of society in socio-environmental matters, and relevant issues such as gender equity, quality of life, and citizen participation. There are no previous surveys that reflect real indices that can be analyzed. Considering that the perception of the human being towards any internal or external stimulus, is the origin of a cycle of actions that range from the emission of judgments, to the decision making, the analysis of the citizen's perception of the national socio-environmental reality in the canton Riobamba, seeks with the help of diagnostic and analytical tools, to know the reality of the level of knowing of the population in socio-environmental issues within the city. The results reflect that the level of mastery of citizens in relation to the subject is quite solid. There is concern about the socio-environmental reality that is perceived today, and citizens act individually and collectively in this situation.
