La integración e interconexión de los asentamientos humanos en el cantón Loja

Abstract

The study is aimed at strengthening the integration and interconnection of the Human Settlements system in the Canton of Loja, through the analysis of the settlement system (population, economic sectors, activities) and the relationship channels (road, transportation) through the implementation of TRANUS, software that analyzes the interaction of activities with transport, where socio-spatial resources are identified, the most relevant characteristics and the existing conditions, arriving to determine that the level of integration is low, since it has not been strengthened the potentialities of each study area, nor has it been established policies in the rural area so that the population does not migrate to the city, it is concluded that the patterns of demand and supply of transport are linked to the population density and the demand for services , for this the model of optimal territory is formulated which, through strategies and actions, strengthens the territorial integration and economic and social cohesion, in this way the canton is more competitive, and can be inserted into the dynamics of local development.
