Abstract: In the present investigation, the relationship between family climate, social support with respect to depression in vulnerable university students was identified. The sample was of 434 students, a methodology of quantitative type was used, with a transversal, exploratory / descriptive design, with correlational scope. The instruments that were applied were: ah doc survey to obtain sociodemographic data, the Family Social Climate Questionnaire (FES), the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, the Depression Scale of the Center for Epidemiological Studies (CES-D) and the Depression Inventory of Beck (BDI-II). It was evidenced that 23 students presented subclinical symptomatology, of which 30.4% (n = 7) were men and 69.6% (n = 16) were women; similarly, 100% (n = 7) of students presented clinical symptoms, all of the female sex. A statistically reliable relationship was found between the FES instrument with BDI-II (r = -0.216, p = 0.00), Social Support Perceived with CES-D (r = -0.223, p = 0.00), Social Support Perceived with BDI-II (r = -0.319, p = 0.00). Finally, based on the results obtained, a family intervention program was established.
