Resumen : | Abstract: This document analyzes the consumption of energy, which produces the implementation of several routing protocols of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks or MANETs, according to the inherent mechanisms that use to establish a network of communication; in an environment of simulation that reproduces human mobility patterns; in order to determine which of these mechanisms, best preserves the most important resource of the network: the available energy. The purpose of the study is to determine the feasibility of implementing the protocols in the real world. From the protocols studied, it was determined that under structured mobility models, that reproduce human movement on metropolitan topologies, those classified as Reactives and Hy- brids, have a better energy performance, while under models of random mobility, the Reactive and Proactive protocols perform better. The study difference communication according to the protocol of the transport layer TCP and UDP, all under the IEEE 802.11b or WiFi wireless com- munication specification; using for it the NS-2 network simulator and the BonnMotion mobility scenario generator. |
