Implementación y evaluación de un plan de capacitación en el manejo y producción de un huerto escolar.

Abstract

Abstract: The present research work was developed in Loja city, at Amaula School; it is located in the El Madrigal reserve. The participants were 64 students from 5th grade to 10th grade. The main objective was to implement a training plan about management and production of school gardens, with the purpose to motivate primary students, to entail with the productive camp and notice the importance of it. The development of the work consisted in the elaboration of different trainings to children of different grades in themes like: soil management, planting methods, irrigation importance, phytosanitary control, harvest and post- harvest, importance and management of use organic compost. It was realized an evaluation at the beginning (before the capacitating) and at the final (after the capacitating), with the purpose to verify if the capacitating benefit to the learning of the teaching topics. The results show that the capacitating were effective, because was achieved that the students extend their knowledge, highlighting that students of 5th grade A and B, 6th and 9th grade, obtaining better learning results.
