Abstract:The present investigative work The narrative ethnohistory of Edna Iturralde: relationship between the real and fantastic elements in her work, has as objective the analysis of the historical-real and imaginary-fantastic elements in the literary works that the narrative ethnohistory develops, the same that is the result of the bifurcation between the history of a certain ethnic group with a creative and imaginative narration, related by Edna Iturralde. In order to carry out the research process, the deductive-hermeneutic method was used, in which the analysis of the ethnohistorical and narrative elements was developed, where the importance of plurinationality is interpreted and the roots in the ancestral peoples of Ecuador are strengthened. great hopes for our children and young people, through the knowledge of our ethnic groups through a fantastic and creative reading. The analytical-synthetic method was also used, where a narrative analysis is proposed in the writer's ethnohistorical works to find real and imaginative elements.
