Abstract

Abstract:This proposal intervenes in public spaces in order to transform them into democratic spaces, where the culture and identity of the city is built through environments for the learning of its inhabitants. Francisco de Orellana is projected as an Educating City with functional poly spaces capable of generating education and revitalizing the urban fabric. The public space has been identified and a network of recreational spaces at the service of the city is proposed, creating networks of nodes that articulate the consolidated areas to the expanding areas. Nature appears as a great conditioner in the configuration of territory, therefore jungles and rivers are elements that contribute to the conceptual idea of the project. Material elements, such as the runway and other oil company camps, are relocated and the territory is recovered to contribute the Urban Green Index in the city. The project tries to create identity for the city by valuing its natural elements and giving a playful-educational use to the collective spaces, returning them to the inhabitants and fulfilling their cohesive function.
