Análisis de género en los sketches de Enchufe.tv, serie ecuatoriana que se transmite en la Web

Abstract

Abstract:This research work locates and selects the videos with the greatest visualizations of the Ecuadorian series Enchufe.tv, broadcast on YouTube, from 2015 to the present date, a total of nine videos were selected, three for each year of study. Subsequently, it is based on quantitative methodology, same as through in-depth interviews, files for the analysis of attitudes and personality traits and focus groups; analyzes the content of the videos, the representation and treatment of gender and determines whether or not there are gender stereotypes. Several heterogeneous opinions about the series were identified, which allows us to conclude that they use a humorous and vulgar language to show the realities of Ecuadorian society and the existence of gender stereotypes for both sexes. It is necessary to study the gender approach, the non-sexist language, to know the sex-generic diversities and to look for the way with a focus on rights and nonviolence against women or discrimination to the different populations these contents are constructed.
